When surfing the internet you meet some remarkable people. These people can inspire you with their ideas and knowledge and epitomize what the internet stands for in my opinion namely, sharing of knowledge and the entrepreneurial spirit.
One such person is Jeanette Fisher I participated in an online conference today given by Jeanette on her 10 steps to internet marketing succcess.
It was really informative and very kind of her to share her knowledge and expertise.

The BBC invite people to have their say on the global economic crisis today on Qik
To paricipate you need to set up a qik a/c which is easy and then you can then upload comments from your Qik home page.
You can follow other Qik users like you would in Twitter
and get email updates of their latest Qik videos.
This is an excellent use of this technology by the BBC in my opinion

I attended the EU Social Activism Online in Ireland conference on Saturday. I found it very informative and I particularly liked the talk given by Zack Exley
He described the impact engaging with the blogging community had on Howard Dean’ election campaign. From trailing John Kerry quite substantly in the fund raising campaigh he ended up being the front runner mominee according to funds raised and left his rivals campaign team stunned.
Wheather your a fund raiser, small business, large corporatiion or political organisation blogging can have a significant impact in my opinion by engaging your readers, catching their interest and getting feedback.

I’m testing Qik at present.This allows you to stream video live directly to your Qik page and to your blog/website (with embedding tag) from your phone. Viewers can comment to your phone as you stream live. I really like the potential of the technology but the quality is quite poor and if your using a pay as you go phone it may end up costing you a small fortune in data transfer charges.Also bear in mind you may experience dealy in live streaming as your video is pushed to the server so make sure not to disconnect from qik until all your data has been transferred.
